Activities Vanga Europe
taken over by 2E Interconnection
The activities of Vanga Europe, which has been declared bankrupt, are to be given an immediate second beginning under the wings of 2E Interconnection, also originating in Oss.
Vanga's trading activities will be accommodated by
2E Interconnection. The production of special cables will continue under the name 2E Cable Assembly.
China
Erik van Hees, director of 2E Interconnection, has made clear that Vanga’s Chinese factory will not be taken over. He believes that this factory was one of the most significant issues leading to the bankruptcy of Vanga.
2E Interconnection has been active in China for many years with various strategic partners, which allows them to be independent within the market and to operate on a flexible basis.
Vanga name will disappear
The take-over means that six Vanga employees will retain their jobs. Two of them – Jan de Kuijer and Wim Neelissen – will become shareholders of 2E Cable Assembly.
Suitable commercial premises are still being sought for this company. All trading activities will take place at 2E Interconnection’s current premises on the Rijnstraat in Oss. The Vanga name will completely disappear from the market.
A welcome addition
According to Van Hees, the take-over of Vanga’s activities is a good step for his company: “Vanga’s commercial activities merge seamlessly with our own. By bundling these activities together, our market position becomes even stronger. The production of special cables is a discipline which we did not have available yet. Thanks to this addition, we have become even more ‘complete’ as a company.”
Van Hees regrets what has happened to Vanga, but was not involved in any way at all. It is for this reason that he does not want to comment on Vanga’s policies. |
